The victims had their full names, dates of birth, social security numbers, and driver’s license information stolen. 850,000 prepaid customers—who fund their accounts in advance—had their names, phone numbers, and PINs exposed. It is very possible that additional victims will be identified as T-Mobile’s investigation into the breach is ongoing. Some people are of the belief that their Social Security Number (SSN) is the most valuable number. In reality, your mobile phone number is even more valuable to hackers and scammers.Take the recent data breaches as an example. Scammers can use the breach data to SIM Swap your number and become you.
